Welina me ke aloha!

ʻO Evan Kainalani Kauaawa Mokuahi Hayes koʻu inoa

My name is Evan Mokuahi Hayes and I'm the owner and president of Hoʻomau Oʻahu Tours.

My connection to our Hawaiian heritage runs deep. I'm a native of the island of O'ahu, descended from warriors who fought for Kamehameha I, and a descendant of a royal guard who served Queen Liliʻuokalani, our last monarch. I'm also the great-grandson of legendary Waikiki Beach Boy Steamboat Mokuahi who sat under the tutelage of the world-famous Duke Kahanamoku.

My passion for Hawaiian history and culture was ignited by my grandfather, the legendary Beach Boy Bernie Mokuahi Ching who instilled into me the values that make up the world-renowned word, “aloha”.

As a Hawaiian, and a Native Hawaiian-owned and led business we have a kūleana, a responsibility, to cultivate, educate, and perpetuate our history and culture to all who inhabit and visit these islands. Our kūleana is to ensure that our culture and history are honored, respected, and shared for generations to come.
